Hi!  Welcome to Houston College & Career Academy!

I’m passionate about leading future teachers in the Education As a Profession pathway.  This is my 7th year at HCCA, and I strive to make my classroom an interactive environment that introduces the basics and inspires a love of teaching. 

I am a proud product of Houston County schools.  I graduated from Houston County High School.  I earned my Bachelors degree from Valdosta State University.  I obtained my Masters degree and recently completed my Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from Georgia College and State University. I’ve taught in Houston County for fifteen years.  I am certified in elementary education (K-5), middle grades (Math), and secondary education (Math).  In addition, I have my Gifted endorsement.  Most recently, I served as a Clinical Supervisor and Adjunct Professor in the School of Education at Middle Georgia State University.

I am happily married to my husband Jonathan, and we have two wonderful children: Jackson (9th grade) and Emery (6th grade) who attend school in Houston County.  In my spare time, I enjoy running, baking, and going to the beach.  Most weekends, you can find our family at a ball field in team sports.  I am a huge Braves fan, and I love cheering on the Duke Blue Devils in college basketball!
