Professional Background/Biographical Information:

I have worked for over 17 years in higher education. For 11+ years, I have worked at Middle/Central Georgia Technical College in advisement and dual enrollment. I currently serve as the Director of High School Initiatives at CGTC. Prior to CGTC, I served as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Georgia for over six years. I have a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia College & State University. 

Dr. Sherry Johnson

Professional Background /Biographical Information:

In 1990, Dr. Johnson began her teaching career at Jackson Middle School in Jackson, South Carolina. In 1993, she moved to Georgia and taught Keyboarding and Exploratory courses at Dooly County Middle School. For eleven years, she taught Business Education at Perry High School, where she served as Lead FBLA Adviser and department chair. During her years at Perry High, she served as region FBLA adviser to several region officers, State FBLA Adviser to four state officers, including the 2007-2008 State FBLA President, as well as adviser to region, state, and national winners. She also served as the 2010- 2011 Perry High Teacher of the Year, 2010 Georgia Business Education Association Teacher of the Year, and 2011 Southern Business Education Association Secondary Teacher of the Year. Dr. Johnson spent 18 years as a classroom CTAE instructor (Family and Consumer Sciences), 11 years as an Assistant Principal/CTAE Advisor at Veterans High School and currently serves as Principal of Houston County Career Academy.

Andrea Griner is Central Georgia Technical College's Vice President for Economic Development. In this role, she leads the Office of Economic Development in serving the College's 11 county service delivery area by ensuring economic development training programs are accessible and aligned to support the workforce needs of the business community. Andrea also provides assistance to community leaders, chambers and development authorities by supporting the recruitment of new businesses and the expansion of existing

This is my twenty-ninth year in education. I served as an Assistant Principal at Northside High School for ten years. During that time, I served as the administrator for the Tabor Ninth Grade Academy and the CTAE Supervisor. I became the CTAE Director for Houston County in the Spring of 2015.

Marian McLemore graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism (Advertising/Public Relations Management). She has more than 20 years of public relations experience in the electric utility industry, specifically cooperatives and economic development. Currently, Vice President of Cooperative Communications at Flint Energies, she is Accredited in public relations (APR) and a certified cooperative communicator (CCC).

Professional Background /Biographical Information:

Eric Payne graduated from Georgia Southern University with Bachelor's degree in Education and went on to receive his Masters, Specialists, and Doctorate degrees in Administration and Supervision. He taught at Miller and Russell Elementary School, served as Assistant Principal, and then served as principal at Bonaire Elementary School for 8 years. He is currently serving in his eleventh year as Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning.

Professional Background/Biographical Information:

Mr. Williams is the DoD Liaison to the Houston County Career Academy. He has served in myriad Human Resource and Senior Advisory positions spanning a 33 year civilian career with the United States Air Force in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. He presently serves as the Director, Management Operations, for the 78th Air Base Wing, Robins Air Force Base. In his present position, he provides executive advice and assistance to the Installation Commander in all facets of the Wing's support of several Air Force missions, contractor operations and a diverse workforce spanning the installation. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, in 1983. He received a Master of Public Administration degree from Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville, Georgia, in 2009.

Professional Background/Biographical Information:

Ashlee McIver graduated from Albany State University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology and also has her Global Career Development Facilitator Certification. Ashlee has worked in Workforce Development at WorkSource Middle Georgia/Middle Georgia Consortium, Inc. for 4 ½ years starting out as a Career Facilitator, then Career Facilitator Supervisor, and is currently the Program Services Specialist. In this role, she oversees the Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws/policies. She also oversees staff and contractors to ensure that they are aware of their targeted goals and ensure that applicants complete all necessary requirements for admission in to the program.

Jamie Cook

Professional Background/Biographical Information:

Mr. Jamie W. Cook is STEM Outreach and Workforce Coordinator, 21st Century Partnership. He supports programs for STEM Economic and Workforce Development for Robins AFB and Middle Georgia.

Mr. Cook retired in 2018 as the branch chief for Workforce Development in the engineering directorate at Robins AFB, where he was responsible for recruiting and hiring processes for all scientists and engineers (S&E), student experience programs, and specialized programs. He was responsible for S&E recruiting at all grades, hiring, and retention programs, training and professional certification, and several career development, management and broadening programs, such as S&E PALACE Acquire (PAQ) and the DOD Science, Mathematics, And Research Transformation (SMART) scholarship for service. He was also the local coordinator Air Force STEM and DoD STEM programs and related funding.

Mr. Cook has served on numerous advisory boards and committees for secondary and post-secondary education institutions and community support organizations related to growing Georgia’s STEM workforce.
